The eagerly-anticipated spring 2026 runway season is shaping up to be a stunning reveal. With more than a dozen freshly-minted creative directors debuting collections this September, it’s a season rife with inspiration, from Louise Trotter’s new vision for Bottega to Jonathan Anderson’s high-anticipated reveal and Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez’s spirited Loewe executed with a sleight of hand. However, a major style story is happening outside of the shows, too. In Paris, attendees hit the streets in fun, effortless ensembles, serving up plenty of wearable inspiration you can recreate at home, right now.
Early-September in-between weather offers plenty of opportunity for experimenting. Showgoers elevated transitional wardrobe staples, like lightweight outerwear, trousers, and midi skirts, with strategic styling and a wink of individuality—nodding to the personality-driven collections that defined the fall/winter 2025 fashion. Classic shapes gained fresh appeal through prints, considered accessories, and even a bit of sparkle.
This season’s best street style brought a sense of levity, without feeling over-the-top. We’ll show you how it’s done in our styling guide, below.

What makes this outfit most interesting isn’t necessarily the shape or use of color—but rather the subtle scrunching of the sleeves to reveal a trio of contrasting layers underneath. Try it on a particularly cold day.

Sometimes the only way to wear to leather is shoulder to toe, as Lauren Santo Domingo so effortlessly proves. A lighter top—be it in cotton poplin or silk—and almond-toe flats give the look its distinct elegance.

A cargo skirt and denim jacket feel less casual when paired with a button-down and elegant clutch. Fashion yours cape-like around the shoulder for a similar, ladylike effect.
